Please see below for a brief explanation of the items on your bill.
Electrical Bill Items
Your Account Number is a unique number that identifies your account with Cornwall Electric.
The Amount Due is your amount payable on this bill.
The Statement Date is the day that Cornwall Electric produced your bill.
Amount payable after due date.
Billed Quantity is the amount of kWh’s used from the previous meter reading to the present meter reading.
The Debt Retirement Charge pays down the debt of the former Ontario Hydro.
The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is a charge of 13% in accordance with the Province of Ontario’s tax system.
This charge is collected to pay for the costs of the OESP. The program provides eligible low-income customers with a monthly credit on their electricity bills.
